Humanism – The Only Way
I am a fully paid up member of the British Humanism Society.
Though I have been an atheist since I was eight years old. Ever since I read “The God Delusion” I passionately wanted to become more involved in Humanism. I firmly beleive in the quote from “The Short Course on Humanism”
The Problem of Evil makes it impossible for many people to believe in a loving all-powerful, all-knowing deity, who would allow so much suffering in the world to be caused by nature and people
and
The idea that there is “a better life” in a “better place” devalues this life and this world
I think in the current climate it is imperitive to be a humanist.
